• The Axolotl, also known as the Mexican salamander, is only found in Lake Xochimilco near Mexico City, with less than 1,000 left in the wild if not already extinct. Axolotls can regenerate almost any part of their body, including limbs, spinal cords, skin, and even portions of their brain. The species is suffering from habitat loss due to draining and contamination of the lake water and from the introduction of large fish into its habitat. Other threats include their popularity in the aquarium trade and are even roasted as a delicacy in Mexico
• Fun Fact : Axolotl have four coloring genes, resulting in brown, black, grey, and albino axolotyls. The feathery branches that extend from both sides of their heads are exterior gills.

Printed on museum-quality posters made on thick and durable matte paper. Matte paper does not have a glossy finish or coating - it is essentially 'flat.' It works best to achieve natural looking colors and also allows for a very saturated and deep black to be printed. Matte prints have no reflection, so allows for a clean and professional look with less risk of unwanted glare.
