• Although there are many species of Flying Foxes, the Spectacled Flying Fox is one of a few that are on the endangered list. Their faces resemble a fox, thus the bats' name Flying Fox. They live in tropical forests and caves in Asia, Africa, and Australia (the Spectacled Flying Fox is only left in northeastern Queensland and parts of New Guinea) .
• Fun Fact : The Flying Foxes are also commonly known as Fruit Bats, due to their diet of mainly fruits, flowers, nectar and occasionally insects. Their "wings" are actually a flexible skin membrane that is stretched between their fingers.
